Incredible, Fantastic, Wonderful, Spacious, Challenging and Beyond my Expectations, were just some of the words spoken by Colin Montgomerie with regard to the construction of The Dutch during an unofficial visit to the site yesterday. Colin was hands on with the shaping and put the final touch to the design on holes 8 and 9 yesterday. He was overwhelmed with the quality of the work produced by the Professional Shapers and the attention to detail shown by Superintendent Niall Richardson. In closing he stated that he was more than happy with the progress so far and that the course was on target to achieve the goals of hosting regular European Tour Events, the Ryder Cup and setting a new standard in the construction and maintenance of a golf course within The Netherlands. Colin expects the course to more than fulfill the expectations of The Members and with the impressive location of the clubhouse and further facilities he stated that The Dutch would be one of the leading Golf Clubs in Europe.
With in the region of 850 Memberships Certificates having already been sold at The Dutch and with only 900 being available prior to the opening, Colin stated that in the current economic times this shows that there is a clear demand for a Top Quality Golf Course in The Netherlands. A demand that will continue to grow. This together with the sound financial basis and the team Professionals behind the project will guarantee it's sucess. With the unique private and corporate membership structure together with the future plans a membership at The Dutch will be a membership to cherish and enjoy for many, many years to come.
